Caroline Cooper is formerly a professional dancer but, after serious injury, used pilates to return to full health and subsequently qualified as a teacher in both studio and matwork aspects in 2002. 1 have completed further general and specialist training through various major schools and have run a number of teacher training events as well as contributed to curriculum. I teach at a number of locations and clubs around south west london and have been at the Avenue Club since September 2015.
Caroline has been teaching pilates since 2002 after qualifying in both studio and matwork aspects with Pilates International in Highgate. Caroline was originally a professional dancer but after serious injury used pilates to return to full health. She has subsequently done further training through Stott Pilates and Polestar Pilates and has run several teacher training events for both Stott and Pilates International as well as contributing to curriculum. Caroline has been teaching at the Avenue Club since September and also teaches group classes at the Lensbury Club in Teddington, Cedars Health Club in Richmond, David Lloyd in Hampton and her own classes. She also teaches at her own studio in Richmond and at the Devonshire Road Clinic in Chiswick where large-style equipment, such as the Reformer, is used to assist with a gamut of requirements from post-operative rehabilitation through to meeting the needs of sports professionals.
Caroline has also formerly taught contemporary ballet and street jazz and will soon be teaching Barre which uses a variety of ballet style standing and lying exercises to strengthen and tone the body.
