About Ian Bloomfield

Ian studied at Trinity College of Music with the French Horn but dropped it and took up singing. He flew across to Holland where he toured grand Opera’s. A year later he auditioned for ENO and sang with them for five years singing in over 40 productions. He left ENO and after a brief spell in the ROH chorus he joined the ranks of the West End in shows such as CATS and Phantom of the Opera and also COMPANY directed by Sam Mendez. After that Ian started busking in the flower market in Covent Garden and formed an Opera company called ‘Opera on the Run’. Ian wrote and directed many Operas and has belted out Nessun Dorma up and down the length of the country as a singing waiter. Ian also taught at the Thames University, ARTS ED but this is his first conducting experience.
